San Diego, California -- JWDA is pleased to announce the expansion of the firm's "Green Team", specifically a team composed of firm members who have undertaken rigorous effort and study to extend their knowledge and capacities to better serve our clients in the pursuit of environmentally sensitive architectural design.
Brian Hansen, RA, Senior Project Director and John Hoglen, AIA, LEED have both qualified as California Energy Plan Examiners (CEPE). CEPEs are recognized by the California Energy Commission and certified by the California Association of Building Energy Consultants (CABEC). Only a CEPE can prepare energy calculations required to get rebates through the New Solar Homes Partnership in California. Brian Hansen was a Project Architect for the Ronald McDonald House, which will receive a LEED Certificate, and is currently a Team Leader for a Camp Pendleton BEQ Housing Project. John Hoglen is serving as Project Architect for the Camp Pendleton Navy Operation Center. The building is designed with highly efficient energy design and is currently under construction.
Matthew Geaman, LEED AP is a Project Designer on the new San Diego Community College North City Continuing Education Building and the Miramar College's Aviation Building Addition. Mr Geaman received both his B. A. and M. Arch. from the University of Illinois.
Al Miller, LEED AP was a Project Team Member for the Hotel Indigo, which recently received its LEED Certification. It is the first building with a eco-green roof in Downtown San Diego. Mr Miller received his MBA and M. Arch. from Kent State University and is currently serving as Project Designer for Father Joe's 15th & Commercial Transitional Housing in Downtown San Diego.
Corinne Kelley, LEED AP has been a project team member for the 719 Ash Street Hotel Project and currently serves as project team member for the SDSU 55th / Hardy Street Student Housing Project. Ms Kelley received her B. Arch. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
The JWDA Green Team assists other design teams in the development of ecologically sound architectural design and provides comprehensive green design for clients who place a premium on green building practices as well as LEED certification.
