May 2005 JWDA Selected as Part of Team to Design "Ballpark Village" in Downtown San Diego San Diego, CA -- JMI Realty and Lennar-San Diego Communities partnered to develop a master plan for the construction of retail, office and residential buildings on seven acres in the Park Boulevard corridor in Downtown San Diego. The two companies held an International design competition to select an architectural team and, from a field of 30 invited teams, the jury selected the Johnson Fain team as the lead firm with Joseph Wong Design Associates, Santos Prescott Associates of San Francisco and Rios Clementi Hale Studios of Los Angeles selected as sub-consultants to prepare the design for this mixed-use project on about seven acres, located immediately east of Park Boulevard adjacent to Petco Park, the Padres new baseball stadium.
