San Diego, CA -- Joseph Wong Design Associates has been selected to serve as a Design Team member with the Jerde Partnership by the San Diego State University Foundation for work on The Paseo.
The Paseo project, part of a $500 million redevelopment effort, will be comprised of approximately 1,500,000 square feet of mixed-use space including retail, residential, and 1,950 car subterranean garage. The project site is approximately 11 acres and sits adjacent to the entry to San Diego State University and the new trolley station. JWDA is providing design services for 460 residential units and the subterranean parking structure. The project will also include 250,000 square feet of retail space, a movie theatre, dining and retail establishments, and a 100,000 square foot office building. The Jerde Partnership is the design architect and is providing master planning and landscape architecture.
JWDA has worked with the San Diego State University Foundation on a wide assortment of projects over the last decade including the KPBS Copley Telecommunications & Gateway Center and the Piedra del Sol Student Housing in addition to providing consulting services on an as needed basis.
