Highlights |
|
The renovation included over 75,000 SF of public space within the hotel, including the lobby, concierge, lounge, restaurants, ancillary space, pre-function space, and ballroom and meeting rooms and began with a thoughtful analysis of the existing conditions. The design team noted that while all three floors shared similar details like creamy marble clad walls and floors, there really was no connection between the floors and many possible views of the expansive garden of the site were either obscured or completely ignored. The remodel breathes new life into the Galaxy Hotel, measuring up to the imaginative elegance evoked by the hotel's name. The ambiance is welcoming, luxurious, and pleasing and creates an impression of splendor without garish accessories or icons screaming for attention. The result is intuitive, subtle, and the space now glows with warmth, seductively inviting the viewer to experience the refined and graceful environment.
