JWDA Architects is celebrating four 2026 Gold Nugget Awards for two different projects.

Alexan Camellia was recognized with a Merit Award for Multifamily Community of the Year, another for Best Multifamily Housing (100 DU/Acres or More), and a Grand Award for Best Interior Design of a Multifamily Community.

As the first residential development built on San Diego’s Convoy Street, Alexan Camellia brings more than 500 new homes to one of the city’s most vibrant cultural districts. The project helps to establish a walkable residential neighborhood with the introduction of housing, active public spaces, and a strong sense of community to an area long defined by its commercial character.

The project’s interiors are a big part of the story, with Parisa O’Connell creating a cohesive, layered design that gives the amenity spaces a distinct sense of identity while supporting the overall character of the community.

The Lindley earned a Merit Award for Best Mixed-Use Project, recognized for bringing luxury residences, a boutique hotel, and retail together within a single high-rise development. The jury highlighted the way the project separates residential and hotel circulation while keeping the ground floor active and connected to the streets of Little Italy, while its LEED Gold Certification reflects the project’s focus on sustainability and long-term performance.
