It was a full house yesterday at 13th & Broadway to celebrate the grand opening of Harrington Heights, a new 273-unit affordable housing community in downtown San Diego. Designed to serve low- to extremely low-income individuals and families, the development provides a safe and supportive home for residents—including chronically homeless individuals, veterans, and people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
The 15-story community offers studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments with shared amenities including rooftop decks, secure bike storage, subterranean parking, and a pet area, promoting comfort and connection. Residents benefit from proximity to grocery stores, clinics, and transit, as well as on-site supportive services such as medical care, case management, and life skills training.
JWDA is honored to collaborate with Chelsea Investment Corporation and The Alpha Project, the City of San Diego, Mayor Todd Gloria, the California Strategic Growth Council, the California State Treasurer, and the San Diego Housing Commission, and Level 10 Construction in advancing a shared vision for a stronger, more inclusive California.
